About Me
My name is Gloria Johntel, and I am passionate about writing.
In 2018, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with two Bachelor's degrees in English for Professional Writing and Creative Writing. I have been writing and editing professionally since 2016, mostly in the creative writing sphere. While earning my degrees, I was a peer tutor for the campus writing lab, where I was able to experience a lot of different styles of writing and research and help students grow in their confidence and skills.
I am an avid reader, and I love to research new things. In the past, I have worked as a library assistant for public services, during which I also did extensive research for patrons and delved deep into the world of genealogy archives. I also developed social media marketing content and advertisements for various library programs for both the River Falls and the Portage Public Libraries in Wisconsin. At the Portage Public Library, I headed the volunteer program and was able to successfully grow the program from only a few volunteers to over 30 volunteers through active marketing and follow-up.
